Oakshaw Explorers: Leave today at 1.00pm to visit Pollock Park. 7th June a visit to Isle of Bute including Mount Stuart. Train leaves Gilmour Street at 9.00am. Anyone wishing to accompany Derek Murney on his sponsored walk at the Greenock Cut on 14th June should meet at the Church car park no later than 10.00am.
Friends of Adams House: Are holding a Strawberry Tea on Saturday 14th June 10.00am - 12 noon in Johnstone Town Hall. Tickets priced £1.50 from Margaret Orr.
Adult Education and Mission Committee Dates:
The Sunday School and AEMC are joining up to provide a buffet lunch for the children, their parents and all members of the congregation on 15th June after morning service. This will be a cold buffet lunch and the cost will be met by money donations. At the end of the lunch the children will sing again some of the songs they have used during worship. Fuller details on the Notice Board. PLEASE SUPPORT THE CHILDREN.
Wanted: Due to retirement we are seeking someone to represent the Congregation on the Christian Aid committee. Skills required - ability to listen and report what the Committee is doing and motivate OTC in the work of Christian Aid. Rewards - knowing that your efforts might assist those in the most disadvantaged parts of our world and you get to attend two committees! Applications - urgently required to Andrew Hosie.
