Today: Morning service is conducted by Rev. Elizabeth Malaney. Elders training at 1.15pm. Elders please collect your district envelopes along with your free will offering envelopes from the hall.

Next Sunday: Morning Worship at 11.00am includes the Sacrament of Baptism.

Kirk Session: meets tomorrow evening at 7.30pm in the Lang Hall.

Readers Required: We are looking for additional readers for a Sunday morning - please give your name to Robert Miller.

Guild: A "Holy Beetle" Driver will be held on Tuesday 18th November in the Oakshaw Suite at 7.30pm. Tea will be served and tickets are £1 from Guild members.

Adult Education and Mission Committee:

Christian Aid	collection boxes are available for members to fill with coins and we ask you return them by 21st December.
Bible Study	The third study group based on Vision 4 Life will be held on Wednesday 19th November. Members and friends are invited to attend.
Elder Training	The first of four sessions will be held on 16th November at 1.15pm in the Lang Hall. Please bring your own lunch. The first session will consider the topic of Being an Elder. These sessions are not just for our recently ordained Elders, existing elders are most welcome to attend.

Trinity Magazine: The December edition will be available for distributors to uplift next Sunday.

Eight O'Clock Club: Our next meeting is on Monday 24th November when we will have a demonstration of "Christmas Flower Arranging". The arrangement will be raffled and tickets cost £1. At this meeting names and menus will be taken for the Christmas Dinner which is on Monday 8th December at 6.30pm for 7.00pm, costing £20.

Captain David Scott of the Boys' Brigade has provided us with a great collection of old and new photographs of the Boys' Brigade.

First in the list are photos from the recent Queens Award Reception.

Next up are photos from the Halloween Party this year.

Lastly, there's a fantastic collection of old photos and memories of the Company going right back to the beginning.

On the left is one of those photos, of J McIntyre, one of the founder members of the 14th Paisley Company.

Today: Fairtrade Stall is available over in the hall. Also the Sunday School children will be baking and this will be on sale after the service. All proceeds to Children in Need.

Kirk Session: The next meeting of the Kirk Session will be held on Monday 17th November, 2008 at 7.30pm in the Lang Hall. Elders please collect your minutes today.

Elders Districts: Elders please collect your District Envelopes together with Free Will Offering Envelopes next Sunday after the service.

Trinity Lunch Club: Meets on Wednesday 12th November when the speaker will be Rev. John Povey, Kirk of Calder, West Lothian, who will share with us his experience of working with the VINE TRUST. All welcome. If you wish lunch at 12.30 in the Main Hall of the Wynd Centre, please add your name to the sheet in the Vestibule, even if you are a regular attendee. This helps with catering arrangements.

Today: Optional Communion after the service.

Next Sunday: Morning Worship at 10.50am include an Act of Remembrance. Sunday School Children are reminded to go straight to the halls. Also the children will be baking and this will be on sale after the service. All proceeds to Children in Need.

Christian Aid: Many thanks to those who supported the Christian Aid exhibition on 25th October and the bread and cheese lunch. The lunch raised £260 for Christian Aid. Collection boxes are available for members to fill with coins, to be returned by 21st December 2008.

Bible Study: The first group based on Vision 4 Life will be Transformed by the Bible and will be held on Wednesday 5th November at 7.30pm in the Wynd. The first evening will be led by Rev. Hutton Steel. Members and their friends are invited to attend all four or as many as they can manage.

Our Prayer Secretary is making regular prayer notes and suggestions are available on the Committee notice board. Please take a copy for your personal use.

Trinity: All articles for inclusion in the December 2008 issue of Trinity Magazine should be in the hands of the editor, Jean Christie, no later than today.

Guild: A coffee afternoon will be held in the Oakshaw Suite on Saturday 8th November from 2pm to 4pm to raise funds for this year's projects, "Mary's Meals" & "The Lydia Project". There will be homebaking and a Rainbow stall.

Management Committee will meet briefly after the Church Service on Sunday 26th October in the side chapel. The purpose of this meeting is to approve the Minute of the meeting held on 8th September, 2008. Please also collect minutes from Tom Clark.

Eight O'Clock Club: Our next meeting is Monday 27th October, when our speaker will be from C.H.A.S., the Children's Hospice. She will be bringing a selection of Christmas cards for sale. All will be made welcome.

Boys' Brigade: As part of the 125th Anniversary celebrations of the Boys' Brigade, Paisley & District Battalion are presenting a show in Johnstone Town Hall on Saturday 1st November at 7.30pm. Although the 14th Paisley are not taking part, tickets are available from David Scott. The admission price is £3 for adults and £2 for children/concession, which is payable on the door on the night. All proceeds are being donated to C.H.A.S.

The booklets are based on a variety of topics: transformed by the Bible; transformed for evangelism; transformed through prayer. We are holding a series of discussion groups, the venue will be announced later. Each discussion wgroup will last for one evening over four consecutive weeks and the dates for the first series will be: 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th November - all at 7.30pm. The first topic will be "transformed by the Bible".

Today - Wynd Communion at 3pm.

Paisley Christian Aid Committee are holidng a display entitled "We are all Connected" on Saturday 25th October from 10am to 4pm in our halls. Tickets priced £2 for adults (free for children) are available from Lesley Steel. Tickets include tea/coffee and home baking. Our own Guild will be running the tearoom. Donations of home baking will be gratefully received. These can be handed in at the halls from 7pm on Friday 24th October or on the Saturday morning. This promises to be an interesting and informative event.

Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP): OTC is a member of the LEP and we are hosting a meeting in the Wynd on 1st November. The event is to be called "Threads". Bookings close on 30th September and we host to have a good representation from OTC. There will be a creche facility and the day will cost £5.
